Patmos is a small Greek island in the Aegean Sea. One of the northernmost islands of the Dodecanese complex, it has a population of 2,984 and an area of 34.05 km2 (13 square miles). Patmos' main communities are Chora (the capital city) and Skala, the only commercial port. Other settlements are Grikou and Kampos. The churches and communities on Patmos are of the Eastern Orthodox tradition. In 1999, the island's historic center Chora, along with the Monastery of Saint John the Theologician , and the Cave of the Apocalypse (it is on Patmos that St. John had a vsion and wrote the Apocalypse) were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Patmos has numerous beautiful beaches along the jagged coastline, and the landscape is ideal for walking.

PATMOS EOLOS HOUSE is located on Agriolivadi beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of Patmos island and from its location it offers direct and breathtaking views of the bay. The views from the house are unique - unrestricted sea views of the Aegean and Ikarian Sea, the Holy Monastery of the Apocalypse far beyond... and the beach is only one minute away on foot!
The house is reached from a private no through road that drives directly into the land plot of the house which has many trees, plants, flowers and space to park your vehicles.
The house consists of 2 adjacent buildings connected with a little veranda. Each of the houses has its own entrance and veranda facing the sea - you will definitely not want to leave the place! |
All towns and country villages are within a 10'-30' drive and there are a lot of restaurants around an area of 2 kms, serving the best traditional local/international cuisine. If you do not wish to leave the house you can either visit the tavern on Agriolivadi beach or have meals delivered at home!

Patmos does not have an airport - One can fly to the islands of Kos or Samos and from there catch a flying dolphin. There are ferry boat schedules on a daily basis connecting Pireaus (Athens port) to Patmos. Duration of trip appx. 7 hours.
